What a voice this woman has and to think, she was working as a prison guard in my old neck of the woods, Ossning, until the mid-90s...As she put it in an interview: In the 70s, the music execs where saying that that she was too short, not pretty enough or too fat. After she hit 25 she was too old...

Saw her last night. Only down part, with noise ordinances that kick in at 12:00 midnight, you shouldn't let the opening act play until after 10pm. I'd have much preferred that they forgo the opening act for more of Sharon Jones and the Dapkings...Oh well. Still great music.
